  • quickest way to summarize this

50/50 is about as fair as 60/40.

anyone who says otherwise is simply being biased and not looking at the overall picture

so for every person that is saying 50/50 shows that Manny wants the fight, I am betting they have never thought of the aspect that 50/50 is now about as ridiculous as Mayweather asking for 60/40

neither is going to for what the other is proposing

again somewhere between those numbers. somewhere between 14 and 0 days is your answer

until then anyone who thinks that 60/40 or 50/50, 14 days or 0 days are fair?

    guess again

      • This fight is not till November, not only that they expecting the winners of certain fights to see if a Floyd match can't happen they will go to other fighters. This is again Arum talking out of his ass, this fight won't be till another 5 months

You still didn't prove that floyd was talking **** about manny during the 1st negotiations.

          • how is this fight not done yet? and why wait till november?
if i was floyd i would want it in september. he is near 34 and the longer the layoff the worse for anyone....

50/50 is FAIR in every regard.

and a 14 day cutoff is fair as well. i wouldnt want my arms poked and blood taken with two weeks of the fight.....

i just dont know what floyd is waiting for, it seems like he just doesnt want the fight..

i think he beats manny, but honestly it doesnt seem like he wants it. im sure he feels he would win, but wanting it is a different story.

the guy has already retired twice now by 32 years of age, some people lose interest and tenacity to train and put their entire life into the sport at certain ages and maturities .

i just think floyd doesnt have the hunger for it anymore.

fighting every two years for a payday is a big sign.

            • I honestly think that this fight is closer to being made then anyone involved is letting on. For some reason i just feel the periodic statements from arum seem staged to keep people talking.

But like i said before, if a week from now Pac is signed to fight Marg or Cotto, then at least to me it would look like that was the plan the whole time.

He can't. But he did prove that d*ckriding and the truth bump heads often (no pun intended).

                • Ok ladies..

Article and video linked. He could have kept quiet.. but.. he coulda shoulda..woulda

On December 08,2009 HBO's sport series "Joe Buck Live" featured the Former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. to guest on the Live Show panel....

When the self pro-claimed G.O.A.T fighter was asked on a not yet signed contract fight with current pound-for-pound king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao he stated calmly," I think he is a good fighter but I have been around the sport a long time and been dominating the sport of boxing for 15 yrs. now."

Without hesitation Floyd was quickly interrupted by fellow guest New York Giant Super Bowl Champion and FOX NFL SUNDAY co-host Michael Strahan "Translation ! The hell with Pacquiao I will whoop his ass!"

The once leisure Floyd was awaken by the crowd's reaction of Strahan break silence translation, seized his moment by coloring his past statement with a more obscure tone "The thing is I don't want the fans to be really shocked by what will happen. When we do meet up because its not going to be nothing new, he (Pacquiao) has been knockout before;he lost before."

                  • Well done sticking to the gag order Arum, we don't know whether or not it will happen or not... but we know that we will find out soon, which is what it should be like.

                    • My problem with Pac are the excuses provided, had he just in the beginning said F U I'm not taking extra test then I would of respected that. In fact, this is the scenario that *******s here like to offer but its not true, reality is Pac offered a lame as response to testing, one that points to guilt not defiance.
You're a ******. First of all the first response from the pac camp WAS screw floyd were not taking extra tests. Then the public reaction kicked in and people were like "well he must be on something then". Thats when the excuses came in.

For the record i am both a fan of mayweather and pacquiao. But if this deal does not get made mayweather is for sure more to blame. In the end i think Floyd gives people what they want eventually and i fully expect him to beat pacquiao in a close and exciting fight.
