Amir Khan is like the English Football team

I'm sorry to have to say this as i am English myself. Amir Khan is exactly like our Football team. Hyped up to high Heaven, looks great beating ****ty opposition, but when steps up in class gets humiliated and exposed. Some posters are already talking about him fighting Floyd and Manny and how he will be the next big thing etc. Thoughts anyone?

I'm no Khan fan but he hasn't been exposed stepping up in opposition. He got knocked the **** out by Prescott but he was caught early and he's beaten better guys than Prescott.

He has only fought one guy who can punch in his career and got sparked. Been on the deck 5 times fighting mediocre opposition like Gomez and Limmond. His team are looking for smaller fighters and old washed up names? Give me a ***in break here.

I can't sell him to you. So I don't know what to say.

You either like him or not. He's one of the polarized fighters. There is no middle ground when it comes to Amir Khan. You either like or dislike the guy.

I suggest you do a search on me and see the crap I got for slagging Khan off.

He is an accident waiting to happen just like our Football team. They both look great beating ****ty opponents but when they step up they get exposed in a big way. Look forward to Khan fighting smaller guys, old washed up names and non punchers. GBP are not as ****** as you might think. You do the math and give me a call when they pitch him in with a real boxer at 140. I don't expect that to be in the near future.

Sad to say I agree with you on Khan, he has deficiencies that are hard to see him overcoming. Still hope he carves out a good career by making decent choices.

The England football team however, has beaten good teams albeit outside of the World Cup (for example they beat Germany in Berlin not long ago).

He has been on the deck yes, and so guess what Roach and Hbo are protecting their investment.

I know most people want to see these as khans next 5 fights

                  Maidana
                  Bailey
                  Mosley
                  Margarito
                  Pacquiao

                  but it aint gonna happen

Lol, eventually he will have to get in there with the big dawgs and when that times comes, hopefully he will just protect that chin.
