Abergu phones maidana, tells him shaw lied.

This is in response to the comments made b maidan the other day that abergu called him a ducker etc..

Exclusive: Maidana says comments are a lie

Three days ago, a press release from Gary Shaw Productions’ publicist was sent to the world including alleged quotes from unbeaten Argentine Carlos Abregú in which the latter shockingly blasted WBA Interim Super Lightweight champ and his fellow compatriot Marcos Maidana. In that press release numerous quotes bashing Maidana were attributed to Abregú, who is currently training in Brooklyn, N.Y., in preparation for his fight against Timothy Bradley, scheduled next July 17. However Maidana says Abregú called him and made it clear he never said a word about him.

Maidana says when he learned about these quotes he was at first quite surprised as Abregú is known in Argentina as a good and quiet guy. However, Maidana got terribly upset and decided to answer to Abregú, only to be surprised once again when he received a phone call from Abregú himself from the U.S. “Guess what, Abregú called me and made it clear that he had never said a single word about me, whatsoever,” Maidana said.

“’I was set up,’ Abregú told me. He was sad as he was put in such a uncomfortable situation and told me that contrary to all the crap it was said on the press release written by Gary Shaw and his crew he admires me and gives me full support for having taking action against my former manager. Now somebody from Shaw’s crew should step up and clarify everything,” Maidana added.

“I knew Abregú is a good guy and I was shocked to learn that he had said those things about me. Now I know who the responsible is: Gary the Liar Shaw, who made up all these quotes to harm my reputation. It seems that he has some personal problem with me. And I know the only way to settle it up: by knocking his so called best 140 pounder Timothy Bradley in front of him. Or maybe Gary got scared and already changed his mind?,” Maidana said.

Damn Shaw, you're starting to look like Cunningham lol that's really f**ked up if its true. He's put Abregu in a bad position and he's making Bradley look ****** in the process, just like Cunningham tends to make Devon look ******. Shaw needs to chill.

Let's see Bradley vs Maidana in November!!! Now it has a grudge behind it.

i think there just trying to get tims name out there, so he can get a little recognised, and draw some ppv, no harm in dat really, but i just feel he's trying 2 do it in the most snake like, cunning fasion. cant he just call out guys and say he waants 2 fight pac/floyd, doing it that way seemed 2 work out just fine for khan.
