It's funny how it works and I knew it would for Chavez Jr. Before the Duddy fight, I knew he would get no credit even though so many here were saying he would get crushed by Duddy.
Now that he beat Duddy, Duddy is nothing but a bum.....hahah
Realistically, I thought Chavez looked much improved. Yes Duddy is a stand in front type of an opponent but he does have some pop and a great chin as we saw.
I was most impressed with his movement and the different punches he was throwing. Obviously his conditioning was very good but he learned a lot from Roach in a very small amount of time.
Like I always said, I think Jr can be a good fighter, not great but good. Give the kid credit for taking it on his own to seek out Roach and get his **** together.
I would love to see him and Cotto down the line sometime. I still think he needs a few more fights though.Comment
