Speed? Perhaps Canelo has that advantage. But as for technique, what I saw in the first three rounds of this fight was very impressive and come on, when has anyone had a better technique than Freddie Roach? But power? Hell no. It took Canelo 11 rounds to get a Lightweight who moved up to 149 out of there. And I question his chin after seeing him get rocked very badly by someone who moved up 14lbs.

It'd be a war that's for sure, I'd say both are around the same level at the moment. Neither have really been pushed to the limits but maybe they can bring that out in each other if they meet.

Yes Canelo has the speed and stamina advantage, but Chavez has the power, movement and game plan advantage. He's certainly not outboxing him on the outside because of that quick jab, and do you really think he could win on the inside after tonight? I really question Canelo's chin after seeing him get badly rocked by someone who moved up 14lbs.

And the funny thing is, Roach did all of this in 5 weeks. Imagine what he'll do within a few years.
