I like the fact that he is humble and he is not afraid to point out his own weaknesses and admit what he needs to work on, you have SOME guys who think they are already on Pacman and Mayweather's level (KHAN!)

at least he is focused on his own division unlike others who are moving up already (Bradley) or looking to fight smaller guys (KHAN)

I don't see Bradley coming back especially if he dominates Abregu, I think he stays at 147 and fights Berto or Seluck Aydin or somebody like that, leaving the Division for Alexander or Khan or Maidana to take and clean up and possibly meet up with him at 147 in a year or two, Bradley is the older and more experienced fighter out of all the top 140 guys so he will likely leave the division first especially if he can get bigger fights and more money at 147
Good post. Green K coming your way.

I get sick of people saying "Oh Floyd cherry picked this guy and that guy", If your in a position to do so then you should make the fights that make the most sense for you. They say Mayweather doesnt make the fights fans want to see but Pacquiao doesnt do that either, The difference is that Pacquiao has a guy telling him what to do. Id rather be able to do what I want.

People dont realise that boxing is a business and you have to make the fights which make sense financially, Some idiots say "Mayweather ducked Margarito" but if you were in his position what would you have done? Fought a guy with no name, little recognition and popularity or fight Oscar De La Hoya. The most popular fighter in boxing who guarentee's you a huge payday? I mean, It's an easy decision.

I agree about Khan, He is managed very carefully because they know his chin is suspect. He has alot of potential but they need to be careful with him, As a boxing fan I would have liked to see him fight Maidana (manditory) but it makes more business sense to fight a guy like Marquez because of his name. Plus they want to keep Khan safe from a big puncher and Maidana is a big risk/little reward fight for Khan. He will fight Alexander and Maidana eventually but they want to move him carefully. It's not great for the fans but it's proberbly a wise move.

Floyd is the best at 147 but would he have stayed unbeaten if he would have gone thru all the lions of the division??? Idk. Its hard 2 say that he would not have slipped up once had he gone thru fights with Pacquiao, Cotto, Williams, Margarito, Quintana, Berto, Clottey, Cintron.

You seriously believe any of those guys would beat Floyd? Come on man. If your implying he ducked them then thats just being ******. Williams, Margarito, Quintana, Clottey and Cintron dont draw enough to even be in the same ring as Floyd. As for Cotto, Floyd would have fought him by now had he not lost to Margarito and Pacquiao.

Floyd takes the fights which make the most sense. None of those fights you mentioned make sense other than Pacquiao.

Margarito was never a draw. Ever. Baldomir regardless of what you say about his record or whatever, He beat Judah who was the Undisputed Welterweight champion at the time. He had the lineal WBC belt and was considered the best Welterweight at the time. Cotto was a big draw but he became popular when Floyd decided to take some time off, Plus he has always been promoted by Bob Arum. And we know that Bob always wants to keep his fighters fighting each other rather than people from other promotions. Cotto was his biggest draw for so many years, And this is why Cotto fought Margarito, Clottey and Pacquiao and so many other top rank fighters.

I do think Floyd would have fought him if he had beaten Margarito and Pacquiao. But he got knocked out in both fights so there's no reason for Floyd to fight him.

wtf are you talking about? margarito & cotto were top rated welterweights, better than baldomir & judah in every way & much better than draws than both.

                floyd didint fight them.

you talk about top rank only fighting top rank fighters? look at floyd's last 3 opponents hatton, marquez, & mosley are all GBP fighters.

Floyd waits until everybody has fought everybody & then waits to pick up the pieces. He lets everybody beat each other up then comes in when everybody has been softened up.

mayweather cant fight everyone, calzaghe once said that there will always be young up and comers when he went up to challenge bhop for his lineal 175lb belt and shortly after dirrell and ward came into the spotlight and bute and abraham established themselfs as solid champs.

mayweathers opposition really hasnt been bad at all the funny thing is he has never shown signs of weakness because he almost never loses a round.

back in '07 when floyd retired panda thought the same thing about him ducking cotto and margarito but both those guys went on to lose to fighters not as good as floyd (hell, he beat mosley didnt he)
