I think Haye-A Klitschko will happen next year

David Haye realizes that he's in a situation where he can win, somewhat win or lose. People hate his guts right now. If he retires at 31 without a Klitschko on his resume, then he'll retire as a worthless hype job. If he fights at least one and loses, then he'll get some respect for moving up in weight and fighting such huge boxers who are VERY hard to outbox, and is there really any shame in losing to a Klitschko? But if he wins, well obviously he'll go down in history as one of the best British HW champs, and will be compared to guys like Lennox Lewis.

I think his next fight will be Adamek/Solis, followed by Vitali (clearly the easier fight at this point and a very winnable fight because of his age) and if he wins, maybe Wlad or retirement. He knows what he has to do, and at this point he really has nothing to lose by fighting them. Its not like he's never lost a fight before.

Nope. Adamek has Michael Grant and David has to fight his mandatory eventually or get stripped.

Fight News said on the front page yesterday that Haye still wants Harrison, so I don't understand why he's saying he doesn't.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I've already lost interest in this fight. When (if?) Haye ever fights a Klit he'll just be another opponent as far as I'm concerned. If he loses (which he most likely will) I'll accord him no more respect or appreciation than I will to any of the other Klit victims. Honestly, if he gets bombed out in two what makes him any different from Ray Austin? If he gets taken out in the mid rounds he's no better than Brock. If he gets stopped in the closing rounds he's Chambers or Thompson. If he lasts the distance he's Samuel Peter. One doesn't get extra brownie points for finally doing something everyone was expecting he should do in the first place.

agreed. but at least all of those fighters dont disgust me like haye does. haye built a name for himself, had a great build up to a very anticipated fight - a HEAVYWEIGHT fight at that. the division needs any big fights it can get, but haye acting like a coward takes a much needed boost away from the division.

who cares if haye fights a klitschko next year? he should fight them THIS year, like he promised. but he is dodging like a frickin pansy. he makes t shirts, calls out the klits, backs out of 2 fights, calls them out AGAIN - then they both call him out like 100x and now hes talking about fighting harrison and gets a noticeable chill down his spine when someone says a word even remotely resembling the word "klitschko".

this is easily one of the biggest and clear ducks in boxing history. how can you keep any respect for haye? he's ****ting all over the sport with this garbage. i never liked haye but i respected him for calling out the klits and thought he had the power and balls to make the fight interesting. i was horribly wrong. i hope what ever b/s contender he fights next sparks his punk ***** klitschko-ducking ass.
