Mayweather-Bruseles: Why?

Who else is he supposed to fight? It's not like theres a lot of guys willing to fight him.I'm not a big mayweather fan but i can't think of one fighter willing to fight him right now.The guy is good and if you got a lot to loose fighting floyd is not a good idea.Gatti would lose on points and we all know it.Might be a good fight but why would he take it when he's doing just fine on his own

in defense of henry .... 1) he is not that bad, he had a really good amateur career 2) has a really mean right hand 3) his 2 losses we're highly disputed, the ref stopped one contest cuz of a cut or something and the other he got shafted in a very pro-mexican venue and 4) and this is for you jose - hes boricua.

Maybe he wants Gatti because he has the WBC belt!?!? Isn't the WBC the most regarded belt, besides the Ring Champ? I'm a Mayweather fan but I really hope he can step this **** up so that we can see some good fights soon. It seems like all the talented fighters at 140 are avoiding each other.

Who else can he fight? Hatton wont fight him. Arum's not going to put Cotto in with him yet. Theirs not enough money for the networks to cross up for a Zoo fight. The only guy he can fight is Harris and if he does that then he loses the #1 ranking in the WBC for a big money PPV fight with Gatti, and trust me if Gatti doesnt have to fight him then he wont. When he had the other list of N'Dou, Johnston, or Abdullev, nobody wanted that either. Theirs no one for him to fight. If you want to say Branco then go ahead but it's not like he has a chance to win anyway. How come Floyd never gets a past. This guy has one of the best resume's out there. All these cupcakes these other guys have faught. Dont make me call out these other guys opponents because hardly any of them will stand up to Floyd's.

Floyd Mayweather Jr., thought to be pound for pound either 1 or 2, has selected a perfunctory opponent as his next test: Henry Bruseles. Bruseles, 21-2 (13 KO), is a Puerto Rican fighter who has no recognizable names on his record. The fight is scheduled to take place January 22, 2005 in Miami, Florida. This fight is simply a Roy Jones-esque showcase so one sided, I would've sworn Don King was his promoter. This is not the way to make your case as pound for pound the best. No word on if HBO will elect to broadcast the contest.

Of course HBO will broadcast, they're building up for the "showdown" with Arturo Punching Bag Gatti. Floyd's taking the RJ route though, that's for sure. Hey, why fight a great fighter for $10mil when you can get $2mil for slapping around sissies named Henry? It makes perfect business sense, all praise to Top Rank and Floyd for taking the correct business route. SacTown1

If HBO does broadcast I cant wait to see what Larry will say to Floyd after the fight. I know everybody remembers Larry after the BHOP/Hakkar fight.

I seen Bruseles fight before, he isn't some totally garbage fighter, he looked good in his last fight...I watched that one, but it was cut short..
