Then Ali's defense isn't either. Dirrell pretty much adopted Ali's style.

Ali got hit way too much. He had blazing speed and was blessed with athleticism but he was no defensive master, IMO.

        That's not a bad observation.

Dirrell uses his athletic ability to break certain rules ala Ali and RJJ.

He was a master of distance....getting away from punches. Which is just bein a runner honestly....Dirrell tries that but for some reason he gets tagged sometimes. Ali just held his hands up, didn't really have defense other than legs

This is why people don't take you seriously around here. Your bias for PR fighters is laughable. Ivan greater than Pernell?? Please. Ivan is on his bike the whole time while Pernell at times pressured his opponent, fought on the inside and still made them miss.

You have to be ****tin me? Calderon>Whitaker? WTF?

                  It is actually Whitaker>all

And, as great As Calderon is/was he really couldn't hold Whitaker Jock strap. And, I like Calderon, but he might not even be a great defensive fighter than say Winky.

                    Hes not...

Its only a few who are Pep, Floyd, Pea, Locche, Johnson, Hops, Toney and thats about it.

Champ goes overboard for PR fighters.

That means you put Winky in the top 10 all time? I don't know about that either. Plenty of great defensive fighters over the time.
