    Giving Cotto some respect

Whether you think he's the real deal or you don't, you have to give this guy mad respect. I first heard about him in early 2004, and he's fought like 6 times since then. He's the most active star in boxing today, and he fights the best competition out there. He could be a megastar...if he was in another division.

I think Mayweather would toy with this guy all day. Sure Cotto has been winning and stopping guys, but when they box him, he looks extremely vulnerable. I wish only the best for Cotto, but he's gonna have to go through the best of 'em in the best division in the sport.

lets see if he can get a belt and if he does.. I really doubt he will remain as active.

All of the upcoming stars are active.. that's why they are stars, but no one wants to put their belt on the line more than twice a year...

No, on the contrary, no upcoming star is as active as Miguel Cotto. Was Jermaine Taylor? At first, but his level of competition STUNK to high heaven. Cotto is taking tough fights, including 2 guys that beat him in the amateurs (Abdullaev and Pinto) for the sake of gaining revenge, Lovemore N'Dou, who arguably beat Sharma Mitchell only 2 months before, and Corley, who is the legitimate testing grounds for guys who want to find out what they're really made of at 140 (Zab Judah and Floyd Mayweather). This guy's competition is off the hook, and he fights every 3 months! Mucho respeto, Miguel.

I have a restpect for Cotto. Hes 2nd talented boxer (behind Floyd). I hope hes going have rematch with Corley. He needs that fight to get more respect.

I'd like to see the rematch, but Cotto was gonna stop Corley anyway. I think most people can agree with that.

That guy at your gym isn't fighting Lovemore NDou, DeMarcus Corley, and two guys who owned him in the amateurs, now is he? LIVER SHOT
