I mean judges are obviously boxing fans aside from being judges, what with all the **** decisions we have had in the history of boxing, surrely they can't be so impartial, they must have their favourites. I'm not even talking about bad decisions due to possible corruption or HBO favourites which we often hear. Thoughts?
Is it naive to think judges don't have favourites?

I think they try to be as neutral as possible, but to assume that none of them have their favorites would, in my opinion, be very naive. -
Maybe. I think they watch so much damn boxing it might be hard to have a favorite. Might not even have time for it.
They judge crap fights, mediocre fights and big fights so thats a lot of fighters.Comment

I'm sure many of them are boxing fans, not boxer fans.
Any decent judge will score by just focusing on the action.
Take Lederman for example. He's a grown man with a passion for quality boxing whatever way it is performed, and whoever is performing it.
Officials may have a preference in watching certain fighters over others as we all do, but they aren't love sick fan boys and should have no problems distinguishing the guy who does the better work over 3 minutes.Comment
