And Haye hasn't exactly been helping his cause, fighting "mandatories" like John Ruiz and Audley Hairisson. I think he's a paper champion. At the very least, a weak champion, and easily the weakest of the current crop of HW's.

I think of Haye as a boxer who currently holds a world title, not champ. Wlad is the unified WBO, IBO, IBF, and Ring titlist, he's the legit heavyweight champion of the world.

It was about time someone lifted that belt from Valuev, though. John Ruiz beat Valuev and got robbed in Germany. Even the german crowd booed when the winner was announced, so I think giving him a shot at the WBA belt was absolutely fair.
