    Ricardo Williams

Just wanted to get you alls thoughts on Ricardo Williams. If he had not gone gone to prison and had still been in the 140 pund division do you all think he would have been able to win a title and make some noise?

Secondly do you all think that when he is released in three years that he will be able to do anything? He said that once he gets out he wants to step back into the ring.

I personally feel that because of his lack of training. (Refusing to get in shape that he would have been able to beat some guys but in any top level fight he would have gotten beaten. He was a southpaw and was fast so if he had taken training seriously he could have been a great champ or at least an additional talent in the division. Now the guy that beat him Valenzuel we definitely need to see more of him.

Three years in the pen?? forget it when he returns he might be good but will never be great or achieve the heights that he could have.

What an idiot. He received the largest contract coming out of the olympics From HBO. Then he goes to prison on Drug charges. What a buffoon.

He's lazy. He had already lost a snoozer or 2 I think. Plus he's a coke fiend and he's bald.

You are correct. 3 years from now the guy will be driving a 1976 Cordoba carrying a pre-paid cell phone selling drugs to high schoolers and trying to convince people he still trains and is going to fight for a title.

When he turned pro he was very hittable-the guy never ever looked as good as Cotto or Abdulleav early on on...Dibella knew pretty damn quick that this kid was not going to amount to ****.

In his only defense Dibellla's matchmaker should have been shot for putting him in with Juna Valenzuala...the guy is a wild brawler very similiar to MAyorga and he is no where near a jr. welter....Ricardo got whipped in this fight but showed heart against a very tough, experienced fighter.
