    Night of Heavyweights Card

Seeing as though the forums are being dominated by heavyweight division threads today, here's mine:

Last November, Don King put together a heavyweight fight card entitled "Night of Heavyweights" and sold it on ppv. IMO, it was a good concept, at least on paper. The card included IBF and WBA beltholders Chris Byrd and John Ruiz against top ranked contenders Jameel Mccline and Andrew Golota. It also included, top contender Haseem Rahman and past heavyweight great, Evander Holyfield. It was arguably not too bad a fight card for the money($45-50). Having said all that, if Don King put together another heavyweight card like that, call it "Night of Heavyweight II" who would have to be on the card for boxing fans to show some interest in the heavyweight divison and buy the ppv?

My Night of Heavyweights card would look like:

Vitali vs Brewster- both arguably the most exciting of the heavyweight title-holders and partial unification is a step in the right direction.

Rahman vs Barrett- winner gets shot against Vitali/Brewster

Wlad vs Byrd- wow, what a concept, two brothers fighting on the same card and Byrd...actually fighting!

Brock vs Peter- Battle of the undefeateds!

Ruiz vs Valuev- Don King can't put a heavyweight card together w/out the "Quiet Man." Also, alot of fans would get to see,"The Beast from the East."

What does your "Night of Heavyweights" fight card look like?

If Valuev fights in MSG I'd pay money to go see it live, no matter who he fights. The K Brothers will never fight on the same card. Imagine if W loses, it will be too big of a distraction for V.

Why won't the Klitschos fight on the same card?
