This whole statement smacks of damage prevention. Booth and co have been talking about a Harrison clash for weeks now, the tabloids have reported it, the internet sites have been rife with it, and suddenly Haye comes out and says, matter-of-factly, oh that's just nonsense, we're still discussing with the Klitschkos, I still want to fight them, bla, bla. Either Haye is seriously out of touch with Booth (and the world) at this moment, or he's realised just what a horrendous backlash this news has created, and wants to save the tattered scraps of his now horribly mutilated reputation. Methinks it's the latter.
By the way, if this is true I can't help feeling a little sorry for Audley now. I hope he gets to confront Haye in a shopping centre sometime in the near future and combo punches him in his test-shriveled balls, Golota style.
