Martinez has the best chance against Floyd

*Floyd would have to put on more muscle which slows him down, but Martinez is the quickest man in his divisions

*Martinez has height and reach over Floyd

*Martinez and his punch resistance would be fine since he's naturally bigger, and Floyd isn't the hardest hitter

This is a good fight. An old shot DLH lost a SD against Floyd while Martinez is prime and has layed waste to far bigger threats in Pavlik and Williams (somewhat). I see a close UD either way.

            Floyd would beat Martinez.

Martinez, a southpaw, constantly fights with his right hand down. Floyd would tattoo Martinez's face with that perfect straight right hand.

              Question:

Why couldn't Floyd stand in front of Sergio and just beat him with technical boxing and counterpunching. The same way he beat Shane.

In that instance, Floyd needs to put on no weight , and speed doesn't get affected.

And Shane is a better puncher than Sergio.....probably.

Only because of the size disadvantage. Sergio is obviously much bigger than Floyd.

Floyd won't be in as much trouble as you guys think though. Martinez's style is absolutely perfect for Floyd. He would be working with Floyd's pace and Floyd wouldn't have to worry about being pressured. Meaning, he could counter punch all night, without worrying too much.

I don't think so and I like Martinez a lot but I know just like most know that the reason why he looked so impressive against Williams and Pavlik because of the Speed and Quickness advantage he had over them both and it showed during those fights

that Slick Style won't work against Mayweather because he is not faster then Mayweather and he won't have the Speed or Quickness advantage in that match up, Martinez would have to use a different style and strategy against Mayweather but in that 154-160 division I think Martinez can beat them all because of his style
