Yeah I find it funny how in one sentence people will forgive and support Antonio Margarito. But in another they will condemn Gerlad McCllelan over some dogs. Yeah it was sad and cruel but they weren't human beings. And there is nothing McClellan did that even comes close to what Valero did. Sorry, but I appreciate human life more than I do an animal.

That book "War Baby" talked about his dog fighting and how sadistic he could be, particularly with animals. Running over flamingos for fun, timing to see how fast his pitbull could kill other animals.

Dog fights are common in the hood like in Gallo/ cocc fights in Latin America.

That said I've never heard any of this.

It was quite common knowledge in boxing at the time that he was into dog fighting, having dogs tied up and letting his dogs attack them, shooting his own dogs if they lost fights.
We even knew about it here in the UK.
The reason there is little sympathy for him is because he is regarded as a de****able human being for the animal cruelty he took great pleasure in.
