Been watching boxing since 1986 and Roy Jones is the most amazing boxer I have ever seen. These highlights show a few things. First, Roy's physical skills were second to one. He has the fastest hands I have ever seen and his power was legit. He also had great boxing acumen.

But what stands out most to me is how great a role confidence plays in boxing (actually life). Roy believed he was unbeatable and fought that way. Losing that weight and fighting Tarver took his confidence. In the first Tarver fight for the first time in his career Roy was getting him with flush power shots that broke his guard. He didn't have time to think about it he was in the fight and he fought to win. He even took a big shot from Tarver at the bell. Prepping for the rematch he went in there knowing he was vulnerable and that same shot that he took against Tarver at the bell put him to sleep.

That reality is that if you stick around long enough it will happen to you.

                Green K by the way

He showed a good chin throughout his pre-tarver years. Even in the first Tarver fight, he took some pretty hard shots, which penetrated his guard.
