Exactly my point, drug testing didnt really start until 2002. The state of Indiana were way ahead of the curve testing as far back as 2000, they didnt even have any laws set down before thaey started testing either.
A point often overlooked is that Jones didn't comply straight away and give them sample B either, when they asked for it, 3 weeks later they were still chasing him for it.(he would of been in his training camp for Harding, maybe taking ripped fuel)
Hall was also notified in August as well, which would explain why he was clean when he went to his doctorLast edited by Toney616; 06-26-2010, 03:35 PM.Comment

My point is that he had a banned substance in him when he stepped into the ring, whether it was intentional or not doesn't matter he should of gotten stripped. The rules of the sanctioning bodies prohibt such stuff and he broke the rules.Merk was asked about the situation which he said he knew nothin about and said the reason for a positive "could" have been because of a nasal spray or somethin like it because of roy's terrible sinuses, muhammad just passed down that info
but jones said it was ripped fuel before brad jacobs(was it?) said there was no way it could have been nasal spray
you think everyone is a drug expert?
Ignorance is no defense as a judge once said
http://www.boxingin$ider.com/headlines/flashback-when-roy-jones-tested-positive/Jacob Hall: “All I saw on any of the websites was that Murad Muhammad said Roy Jones tested positive for take some (nasal decongestant). But that was innaccurate. This was not a nasal decongestant.”
boxingin$ider.com: Does the state of Nevada have a law on drug testing?
Jacob Hall: “Yes. Most states do not. Nevada does have drug testing. I think most people are surprised at that…they think all boxers are tested. For some time I’ve tried to get a law passed similar to Nevada but we haven’t got that done yet. If the sanctioning bodies choose not to take action, there isn’t a lot the state commissions can do. That’s why I’m in favor of a Federal Commission like the one Senator John McCain is proposing.”

Bad analogy. Of course it's ok. It's called shooting before you get shot at.Comment
