if you watch Ali fights right now, you may not understand his greatness...at times he looked lulled and didn't finish his much lesser C- opponents off until the 14th or 15th rounds..but was clearly winning the fights...the problem is that sometimes he just fought only a bit above his opponent's level...if his opponent was a C+ fighter, he would put on a B- performance...if his opponent was a B- level, he would put on a B+ or A- performance...if his opponent was an A level, he would put on an A+ performance or A++ victory...Ali was great because he always found a way to win...even if he looked lull or seemed he would struggle...he would win...he never EVER lost heart...he could regain some sharpness in later rounds and knew how to play his opponent mentally...Tyson would be thrashed by Ali...Ali had talent like Tyson, but he also had the mental edge...Tyson hit hard, but don't forget that Ali had a great chin and was not always easy to hit with a clean hard shot...
Working...
