      • I love how people like to say this group of people is too sensitive or its over and lets move on. As people we react to things differently and we go through different experiences that cause us to feel the way we do. Its rather arrogant to feel that someone else should be over something because its not a big deal to YOU.

        • Well, that is true but so does this excuse nuthuggers from say Floyd,Cotto, etc. SMH. Remind me of a thread (of all people )by El Jesus. Hmmm. Singling out Filipino sports writers and now this thread criticized Filipino fans. . I'm a Filipino and I don't take offense on this article but people need to open their eyes. You would see that we are cut from the same mold. Bias is ingrained in us all. Objectivity is often thrown out.

It's like religion. Everyone chose to side to whatever they think best mirror their personal preferences. But it does not mean that other religions are necessarily right/wrong in their beliefs.

Now let's relax and just enjoy the sport regardless of nationality.

Sure. Let's stick to the "topic" then. Just what do you mean by a "big deal?"

I said the Chinese were at wars with the Japanese before there were slavery in America.
Do you think the Chinese waited for the Japanese to apologize? Hell No!
The Chinese earned their respect, let the Japanese pull that now and see how fast Japan turns to glass, again
            .
I'm happy to hear the Chinese went to war successfully. Now what do these two nations have to do with the "topic?" How is this comparable to...whatever you're complaining about?

Let me bring up the ***s, do you think slavery in america is comparable to the holocaust? No? How bout the Roman reign in Jerusalem? Still no? Then how bout the Christian Crusades in the "holy land"...
Let's see. The Trans-Atlantic Slave trade killed at least 20 million on the voyage alone and up to 100 million people in total. Then it was capped off by 200 years of slavery. Compared to?
How many ***ish people you know that pulls out the race card whenever someone calls them cheap or big nose?
I don't think a ***ish person reacting to a bigot who says something like that is "pulling out the race card." I think he's responding as he should to someone who said something offensive. And I don't know the number of people who do that so I can't answer your question but I'd guess a great deal of people from any race would "pull out the race card" if someone made a racist remark.

Right, and these are some of the same people that hated Adam Carrolla for his comments he made. It makes zero sense.

              • There is nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with being ridiculously biased in support of someone from your country. I think it gets a little murky when that bias extends to someone of your color but whatever. Neither of those instances warrant the degradation of another race. Particularly since none of the people doing it know what they are talking about anyway. Some of you have either been really sheltered or lack knowledge of self and others. Nevertheless, some people are racist and there's nothing we can do about it. Hopefully they are sensible enough to keep these feelings buried deep where no one else can see. It's bad enough they have to live such a miserable existence, the least they can do is to keep their misery to themselves.

That the Chinese, in a global stage, are not asking for Japan's apology and surely nothing Japan does will ever threaten the livelihood of China.

I'm not washing one with the other, they are both de****able in human history.

Exactly my point, it would be taken not as a racial insult but rather a personal one.

The same people who went bananas that a third-rate comedian made jokes about their favourite boxer are now saying "get over it" to racial slurs about another group.

...didn't the Japanese want (and get) apologies and reparations for wartime internment?
