Exactly why I'm posting in NSB less and less. It gets bad when the internet **** some of those fans talk carry over and make you think about their comments, when put in a real life perspective.

I'm not digging it all up. If you're a regular here you know it's there. A lot of that **** popped up when Pac won a Congressional seat. Thread after thread on how ****** and worthless Pinoys are for a dropout to be in Congress, and how **** their country is. Lots of garbage about Pinoy women being whores. "Pinoys are dog eating scum," etc. I actually see a lot of racist **** from the ******* who get mad when Pac fans send them bad k. "You little Pinoy this n that." That **** is beyond pathetic.

We've seen these scums in NSB.


The creepy thing is that it's more than just a few disconnected fans roaming the internet looking for places to talk trash. There's something very cultist, organized and activistic about it. Think about the anti-Floyd facebook pages and the racial overtones there. It's disturbing and unsporting, this culture of ingrainedly hateful pro-Manny activism.


I know some will go to pains to make a case that these people are not actual Filipinos, but rather anti-Floyd boxing 'fans' who have adopted Manny as their figurehead. However, I know differently. Truth is, Filipinos referring to men of African descent as "monkeys" (and actually worse) on this forum predates Floyd and Manny ever being a factor in each-others' careers.


That isn't to say there aren't decent Filipinos out there and on this forum, obviously. But, with Manny's gradual ascendency, there has been a steady influx of scumbags to this forum (many of whom hold several accounts), and hovering around the internet boxing community in general, which is badly diluting that number of cool folk who just want to support Manny and the sport of boxing.

I'd like to first stress that two 'wrongs' do not equal a 'right'.


But aside from a few sundry 'dog-eater' type comments (which are thoughtless and dumb) and the occasional snide commentary re. Filipino poverty statistics, typically thrown in retaliation to the kind of venom we're discussing, nothing on the same scale of collective ingrained ignorance and malice.

A distorted version of that image of Roger Mayweather in your signature was previously used as an avatar to one of those alt. accounts registered for the purpose of spreading pro-Pac/anti-Floyd propaganda here. The effect of the distortion was to shape Roger's features to resemble those of a monkey.


It's so childishly ignorant you could almost laugh if there wasn't so much palpable human malice behind it.


That's the kind of **** we're talking about. It's grimy and it makes the forums deeply unpleasant to view at times.
