Gorilla Dog will do bigger numbers with ANYBODY because of his "0".....there would've been enough people out there who felt like Clottey could beat the dude....enough to put this fight in the 7 figure range as far as PPV sales go IMO.....if that dude didn't have that "0" he wouldn't be able to sale water to hell but because of his perfect record and loud mouth he is able to sale **** to ass holes....no offence or disrespect intended but thats how I see it

But, you clearly left out the fact that styles makes fights. This fight doesn't sell coz of there style. It would be 1 hellashoiusely boring fight. 2 defensive minded fighter boxing it out. People won't buy this crap for sure.

This would probably be around 200 buys tops.

I have a feeling May vs Clottey would probably be around 500ppv.

Remember when Oscar fought Mayorga. He was the cash cow back then.

But Mayorga wasn't much of a star like Clottey was when he fought pac.

PPV numbers for Oscar vs Mayorga fight did only "500ppv buys." That is from a cash cow like Oscar.

I made this thread to show that. It takes 2 to tango.

Selling a good show need 2 elite popular boxers to perform.

That even if your a cash cow like DLH was. He couldn't pull large numbers if your opposition wasn't that poplular and great as he is.

Just to note: poll option of 500k and 400k below are considered below Pac's numbers therefore, it should be added up at the end of the poll to show people who voted that it will even go lower than Pac vs Clottey.

Clottey vs May so far as of today June 24, 2010:

Floyd will do below 700k ( 37 voted it would go 500k + 30 voted it would go below 400k ) = 67 people think he would even go lower than what Pac did with Clottey, while only 42 think it will go higher than 700k.

So far this poll is showing that people think Floyd will do even less with Clottey

This just shows that the self proclaimed cash cow Floyd Mayweather will do even lower than Pac vs Clottey.
