I said it on the radio show and I'll say it again... Chavez Jr BEATS James Kirkland!

I agree that Chavez Jr. is DEFINITELY better then he is given credit for.

But Kirkland applies too much pressure and is too strong. I think Kirkland stops him cause I dont think Chavez has all that great a heart from what I hear from "insiders."

I do think he beats the hell outta duddy tho. Im betting the UNDER on that one. Chavez throws beautiful combinations when his opponents allows him too... and Duddy has ZERO defense. Should be an great scrap tho while it lasts

he hasn't fought a high level of quality opposition, but compared to Jr he has fought much better fighters. kirkland is to strong and skilled for jr.

I feel the same way except for one thing.... I think he does have heart.... Getting with Roach kind of proves ths to me because it shows he is getting serious about his craft, and I don't think he wants to turn into Camacho Jr.....

I think he whoops Duddy and proves his worth....

They guy gets a bad rep because of his name.....

The guy has skills.... He can box, ****, and has the sweetest left hook to the body.... He had one bad fight and people over react.... Then in his FIRST fight at 160 he didnt KO a guy with a solid chin, but still won EVERY ROUND, and more and more hate comes....

He will kick John Duddy's ass and move on to bigger and better things....

I know I will get hate for it, but this is what I think....

I dont know about beating kirkland, he puts on great pressure but I agree with you. The thing with Jr is that he goes into fights without being in shape. Everyone is saying hes a bum based on his last fights. I think Ive seen most of his fights and hes a beast when hes in shape. Great left hook to the body.

Jr does not have much in terms of skills, or power really, and is slow as molasses in January.

Nothing you can say will change that and you can't just train anyone for even a long period of time and turn them into a good fighter.

Jr simply does not have much talent.
