I understand your point. I feel the same watching May or Calderon fight.

boxing is not called a man's sport for nothing. anybody who fights more like a man inside the ring is definitely the more exciting fighter.

I don't think cotto has ever been in a boring fight.

when he's put up against bums, he usually finishes them off. when he's fighting guys at his level, he gets hurt or gases which makes the fight more intriguing. even when he gets beat down like in the pac or margo fight, he put up a good fight before he got destroyed.

LOL... ^^^Above is an example of Pull still being... well Pull. Won't get in to the bricks thing with you, and as for the gassing part...NEVER SAW IT! He just doesn't know how to fight when he is pressured. That's it!

why even make a thread about this, and go on and bash floyd for it------if cotto is more entertaining like you claim, and floyd is so boring, then explain to me why floyd still, to this very day, holds the ppv record with oscar de la hoya? and cotto hasn't come near it-------you can bring up the pacquiao fight, but that sold over a million less than mayweather jr vs de la hoya------and mayweather jr vs mosley---obviously, floyd is more entertaining than cotto is-----also, he hasn't been stopped twice, holds compubox records, makes so so so much more than cotto---and comes out of retirement and is ranked ahead of cotto in p4p and ww lists------cotto is doing something wrong huh?

it's always subjective though, to be serious with you om------cotto looks more exciting than floyd, but floyd is the fighter that pure boxing fans dream to watch-----and he hasn't lost yet, in doing this---floyd values his 0 and it makes his fights more appealing than cottos----who is that guy to beat floyd, people wonder------

people cheer for cotto more than floyd, way more than floyd, but that's been that way for so many years, even before floyd became the biggest draw and star in boxing-----the way he fights, is the most effective style in boxin, bar none---

cotto is a boxer/brawler like shane is-----floyd will always beat cotto, not just 9 out of 10 times, everytime-----people get into this sport to mimick floyd mayweather way more than cotto------what does that tell you om?

            i see your point though.

also, om----watch mayweather against corley and gatti and coralles at 130-----he dominated every round and looked very exciting---which is why i didn't want him to leave 140-----but no other challenges were there for him---but his fights with judah and mitchell and hatton were exciting-----his fight with n'dou was very exciting to me----floyd is so muuch in control of his opponents, that he decides if he wants to turn it up or not----that's brilliance---

Very well thought out post. As to your question...Floyd holds the paper-view record for two reasons. One... marketing/promotion. At least for those fights that you mentioned they used Floyd's opponents and yes Floyd's 0 to sell the fights. Two... PEOPLE DISLIKE FLOYD. He sells cause the majority of the crowd wants to see him get KTFO. As for new boxers mimicking Floyd...I agree.

Yea i will not order a Floyd PPV fight unless its Pac but i do order every Cotto fight. I ordered the DLH fight and was so disappointed that i cant order another one. No cotto fight has ever dissaponted me however. Floyds 1 punch tactic and his lack to engage is a real turnoff

Nothing against Floyd as a fighter but i just cant watch his fights

Any day of the week...I don't get how anyone that loves the sport cannot be in awe of his skill set and his application of his craft, he's brilliant.

Why does someone have to take a beating to win like a man? Why can't he use superior skills and humiliate them and get the same respect from you?
