ward vs dirrell will be the most boring fight of 2010

Don't watch it then. Here we have two young fighters in a tourney with the best in their weight division and as fans we should be looking forward them getting it on. But if its going to be boring, don't watch it. Its simple really.

i think its gonna be a very interesting fight. dirrell with his speed, foot movement, reflexes & outside game vs ward's inside pressure & agression. its a style contrast between the 2 fighters that im looking forward to for this fight & the fact that both guys are young, athletic, smart & at the beginning of their prime.

i expect neither fighter really wanting to engage, both pop-shotting from the outside, neither ever really wanting to committ. i think both fighters have the ability to make the fight semi-exciting and competitive but i just dont think it will happen. IF it does turn out to be watchable i expect it to mostly be contributed to by ward. dirrell's running in the froch fight made it impossible for me to ever become a fan.

every fight in the super six is important for the sport, ill watch an important fight even if i know it will prob suck. i watched ward-green although i did click over to watch leben vs hammill for the last few rounds (a much better choice). i flipped back to catch the post fight and hear green cry.

when in this thread did i even remotely suggest this? stop acting like its impossible for a boxing match to be boring as hell. any sport can have a boring match up - boxing is no different.

I fear Ward will apply the same tactics as used against Green. Hopefully Dirrell will be just a tad more game, but I honestly fear it could be an absolute stinker.

One good outcome is that one of them loses - hopefully it's Ward although I would rather have Froch and AA in the tourney.
