    John Ruiz vs Samuel Peter

I think this would be a good fight for both men, i think VK is just a step to far at the moment for the heavy handed but limited peter, so it would be a good opportunity for peter to win a lesser belt and gain experience from a proven top heavyweight.

I do however think ruiz would be a slight favorite for this fight if it happened. ruiz has had most of his trouble with smaller slick boxers [toney and jones jr] but against natural big heavyweights like rahman he has shown he has the style to win.

Ruiz would clinch and mug petur but petur would be strong enough to manhandle Ruiz and land more shots.

Peter wins 8 rounds of 12.......translation: Ruiz SD12 Peter

Samuel is much stronger than Rahman was and would dominate John in the clinches. Ruiz's only hope is to run and jab and he will only get caught against the ropes like Sykes.

          Samuel KO 3rd round

Samuel is not like these other heavyweights. He has great strength, physically and mentally, and he will run through most of these so called "big name" fighters like Byrd, Ruiz, and Brewster in no time. Experience and skill are great, but Samuel is a physical phenom, much like Tyson was. Only instead of speed and upperbody movement, Peter's gifts are chin, strength, and a concussive punch in both hands. These things can't be taught. Like Foreman before him, Samuel will clean out the division through inner strength and determination. He only needs to build his stamina and develop a better jab and he will someday eclipse Tyson and maybe with a lot of work even Liston.

if he is stronger than rahman he must be incredibly strong, rahman has huge upper body strengh, remember his studio ''fight'' with lewis? also peters chin is still untested for he most part.

Sam Peter at this point looks like a naturally gifted fighter. Yes, he might encounter some problems with Ruiz but not enough to lose to him. Sam has an uncanny ability to feint... Meaning he can make a fighter believe he is throwing one punch and then cranks out another from the same stance. He has done this in three different fights that I have seen with much success, all KO wins. He has more skill than most observers give him credit for. What he lacks in speed he makes up in timing. We all think this would be a great matchup at this point but I doubt Ruiz will step up to the challenge since he is currently hanging on to his belt by a mere thread.

Peter would crush Ruiz and come through with a clear cut win, whethere it be by KO or Decision, but a week later some how John Ruiz will have retainted the title
