Just think Kermit Cintron before he met Margarito. His heart has to be tested before I can answer that

While he may be overly offensive; he leaves very little openings. He comes in with the jab, has two handed power, good speed. But I want to see him have to get off the canvas, or get rocked hard, see how he reacts to that. I've already seen Kirkland go through that. If Omar Henry shows me he has heart, then he'll go far

One thing I know of Omar from what I've seen, and I've seen all his fights, is he has far more heart and the instinct of a killer - something Cintron has never had which is why nobody gives two ****s about Cintron and to this day has never made a ripple in the boxing world, whereas Omar is is a well known killer who loves throwing punches. Omar IMO is more than just a prospect, because when you actually watch boxing like I do (whereas it's obvious to me most people who post on nsb don't even watch fights, they just read articles), I can see that Omar has what it takes to be a great champion. His style is just what boxing needs and what the fans want to see. He is being touted as the future of boxing, and IS, as Arum himself stated, the future of Top Rank boxing.

Omar with just 9 fights 8 KO's is already feared and can not get anybody at 154 to take a fight with him, unlike others such as Shawn Porter and David Lemeiux. He's that dangerous that after only 9 fights and almost as many rounds, he can't get people to fight him. He will need to break into top 10 to actually fight contenders who can compete with him.

At this point I believe he can physically hang with many 154 pounders but he's not mentally ready for it. I'm not going to get into "We don't know if he can go 12 rounds" etc because one thing we know is he is a WELL CONDITIONED athlete and if he can go 6 rounds, he can go 10, 12, 15, etc. Going rounds is a mental thing and with Omar's conditioning there is no question that if somebody could take him the distance he isn't going to tire before the dance ends.

I went to Chicago for his last fight but it was canceled literally hours before the match because yet ANOTHER opponent backed out. I'm excited for his fight this Saturday, I'm sure it will be a short but great fight.

Good post, and I'm also able to see the talent in him. As for the bold, not too long ago I said Youtube isn't doing him any good
