i don't know about muscular density. he was much thicker though.

the tua in his 1st 2-3 fights were close to joe's size. when tua was around 200-205.

you think tua was as fast as frazier? maybe but i think joe was a little faster.

hard to compare though. frazier was fighting 190-215 lb. guys. tua was up against 220-240 lb. guys. i'd think the smaller guys frazier fought was faster than the bigger guys tua fought but who knows?

      Never said you did.

STRUGG said Tua was a poorman's Tyson.

I'd say his handspeed was comparable. Footspeed no. Tua has always been extremely flat footed it seems to me, which hindered his ability to land meaningful shots against boxer/mover types. But his hands are extremely fast for a heavy. Watch the Darroll Wilson fight. Tua lands I think two or three hard left hooks in under a second. Not shabby at all. I could be being misled given the comparative speeds of their opponents, but I also think a lot of people are misled by Tua's stocky frame and flat feet, and infer from that that his hands must be slow as well.

Yup, it's three left hooks in quick succession at the 2:17 mark (of the video, not the round)

I thought you were saying that since I didn't think Tua fought much like Tua that I must automatically think he fought like Tyson. Sorry, just a misunderstanding.

If this is his last hurrah, I'd like to see him secure a big payday soon.
