Will Ward and Dirrell carry each other?

I worry about this fight a lot because these 2 are "friends". It wouldn't surprise me to see a dull pitty pat match for 12 rounds where they both make silent agreements not to go for broke and really hurt the other guy.

I just can't picture these 2 really going at it like real opponents would.

    Can you?

I don't think they'll hold back. Ward has often stated its important to him to retire undefeated and Dirrell needs to win to get into the semis. Also, we don't know if they are actually good friends. That might just be something Showtime made up to increase interest in the match.

I think their friendship will go out the window once the bell rings.

As mentioned above, Ward has an extreme desire to win. He simply refuses to lose.

Dirrell on the otherhand needs a win to avoid elimination. It's do or die time for Dirrell (thanks to the judges in the UK).

You mean thanks to his own malfeasance and unwillingness to fight?

But yeah. I hope they man up and go for broke. But since they're both so dull, I wonder if we'd even be able to tell the difference you know?

Even if they "try" this might still be a 12 round snooze.

Reminds me of Taylor and Lacy. The friendship will be put aside, I can't see either of these guys carrying the other, if the opportunity comes they will take advantage.

Dirrell was splendid to watch against Abraham. That was a great fight to watch imo.

I understand the complaints about Ward, but I'm very curious to watch this fight it's a very interesting match-up and it will say a lot about each fighter how they react/adapt to the other guy's style.

It's obviously not Castillo-Corrales, but to me this is an exciting fight because of various reasons but mostly because what's at stake.

Dirrell Ward is in Oakland? Get the **** out of here.

Edit: Wtf, I'm coming down with something. I looked at your sig and saw Dirrell instead of Green. My bad
