Manny has developed better footwork, more head movement, far better boxing ability, a solid right hand and now he's fighting at his natural weight. Also, when wasn't Pacman knocking people out? 2/3 Morales fights were stopped (TKO) Barrera/Pac was stopped in the 11th. The only guy he couldn't KO was Marquez and Manny put him on the canvas a total of 4 times almost 5.

Also when Manny was fighting at 126+ he was still coming into fight night at 144(ish) which is about where he fights now. So before roids were an issue he was weighing exactly what he weighs now, give a take a few pounds. Also his KO ratio might be higher now because he doesn't have to cut so much weight, when you cut weight you start taking away muscle especially when you are already in great shape. This would obviously take away from Manny's power as well as his technique not on the level it is now. So please shut the hell up about how its not natural at how the guy simply is getting better. Floyd got a lot better after the gift decision he got against Castillo, as for his power dropping off. It isn't because he doesn't have power or because he has weak hands, its simply because he doesn't throw enough punches. Manny throws 70+ punches a round, Floyd maybe 40-50 when you throw 20 more punches and possibly all power you are going to get more KO's, especially when the difference is over 100+ more punches Manny throws in a fight. If Floyd threw that many more punches in his fights against Marquez and Mosley he may in fact have got the KO, the difference is Manny does it and Floyd don't.
Good post. It's common sense to most people. It's hard to explain things to people that don't want to hear it. He will probably put you on ignore since he doesn't like your opinion. I was put on ignore by this poster and I don't think I have ever debated with the guy.

Don't most boxers who catapult through the divisions usually avoid the big shots and punishment on the whole? Pacquiao is a brawler. So his punch resistance has gone up because he has more weight/water...but his opponents hit harder. Then there is all this stuff about being 'the naturally smaller man'. So, how is what you quoted a 'Ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing'?

When the great SRR, Armstrong, Duran, Leonard, and maybe even to a lesser extent DelaHoya (He did came up six divisions still knocking opponents out and has only been TKO'd twice in his career), they are just damn great fighters, but when a Pacquiao does the same, he is a PED abuser. Why can't the reasons for some of the greats mentioned above be the same reason why Pacquiao is tearing as*holes today?

This talk about Manny being the natural smaller man only came up when he fought DLH, because he was at least shorter and most were expecting him to weigh less than Oscar on fight night. This didn't happen, but still I see why people would think that because of the height. As far as Hatton I didn't see him as being bigger, I thought Manny was just better period anyone who picked Hatton is an idiot IMO. He was smaller against Cotto, but I still firmly believe Cotto training himself and still having the Marg issue in his head cost him that fight, or at least being more competitive the second half. Clottey was definitely the bigger man, but if you put a guy who weighed 20 pounds more than me and told me he was only going to swing once a round, I would throw 100+ punches a round too looking for the KO.

Manny's main issue IMO is the fact that he hasn't fought a boxer since Marquez. The "bigger guys" tend to be sluggers vs. boxers and this is possibly why Manny has been labeled the smaller guy, but at 126-140 he's always been in the biggest guy in the ring at least weight wise I believe. At WW, he has yet to really give up reach except for the DLH and Clottey fights, but in both of those the guys just took the beating... Manny isn't that small he's just somehow made people think he is.

Because the Mayweathers say he is, therefore he must be.

floyd sr has no choice...he has to describe pac's success like it is something not normal to back up his accusation that pac is using peds. ironically he's also saying lil floyd will whoop lil pac's ass easily. can you imagine that? lil floyd can easily beat a super ped user...floyd must be on something too. something more potent than the A-side myth and can not be detected even by blood testing.

Pacquiao went from almost being knocked out by Oscar Larios to walking through Miguel Cotto. And that doesnt mean he is on anything but it seems strange that punch resistance can change so much in the space of like 2 years. Floyd was a power puncher at 130 when he was facing guys his size or smaller than him. Now he isnt knocking anyone out because of his hand problems and the fact that he is not a natural welterweight like Mosley, Baldomir and DLH. Back in 2008, Pacquiao could barely hurt guys like Barrera and Marquez. Now he is stunning guys like Cotto with one punch.

This just doesnt seem natural to me.
