the new and improved 14 day window

I'll state my position on Manny Pac just to avoid confusion. I love the way he fights because he fights with so much heart and tenacity, couple that with his finishing ability and you have a great fighter. Having said that, being a boxing fan, I love to watch Floyd fight, even in his boring fights. I really appreciate his intelligence, his speed and of course his countering ability. Not to mention the way he uses the ring.

A lot of people on here that are Manny fan boys will just about agree with anything Manny does/says, and we know this. They may not be aware of what they are doing, but the readers of the comments know this. This is what ruins Pac for me. You read a post with no boxing insight whatsoever; somewhere along the lines of ," Manny will win, manny will dominate, chicken floyd will run." Granted there are Floyd fan boys, i know this, they just aren't on the level of Manny fans.

Now there are fans of Manny who actually know boxing, the paragraph above clearly isn't directed towards you.

What I wanted to ask both fan bases is a question about the window that Pac is now accepting.

So Pac finally accepted the 14 day window, at first I was relieved because I think boxing needs this fight. I also want to end the debate on who would win the fight. Upon second look, however, it kind of annoys me that he wouldn't accept this window in the first place. Do you guys think Manny accepted the 14 day window now, because he knows Floyd will want to do no window at all? I only suggest this because Shane didn't have a window. It just seems weird to me that now Manny accepts the window. What is the difference this time around? Do you guys also think Manny picked Clottey to fight because he was a defensive fighter and he wanted to have a taste of fighting a defensive fighter, to perhaps better prepare for floyd?

I realize the two questions are naive, but I just wanted to throw them out there to see what people think.

Okay my apologies. Well, I think PAC knows Floyd wont offer it anymore, therefore he still doesnt want the fight to happen . And yeah he picked Clottey in preparation for Floyd because he wants to fight Floyd in the near........Oh wait, I agreed with your first statement which in essence says Manny doesnt want to fight Floyd. And Now I would also like to agree with your second statement, but that in essence would mean Manny wants to fight Floyd.

        Im lost....

Well they don't have to be related. Why did Manny accept the new window? Why did he fight Clottey? I think he fought Clottey to maybe get a fight with a defensive fighter in, but i also think he knows that FLoyd is more like marquez, because he will counter you. His performance against Shane alos doesnt help, something else i forgot to mention.

BTW thanks for the second response.

It was more of PAC causing Clottey to be like a lifeless shell...So I believe they were happy with Pac's display

erm..no pac didnt have to be a pshycic.floyd already said twice that the deal(14 day)was off and would be up until the fight..
he said this in February and before the mosley fight.
so why did pac then in turn after floyds statements agree to 14 day that was no longer there??
there has been many threads about this so am sure you knew but decided to ignore this when you made this comment.

if you force a fighter to get his blood drawn 2 weeks before he can recover from it then you are truly a ***** ass fighter and gimping ur opponent

that's a ***** ass move plain and simple. let ur opponent fight on a comfortable conditioned state like you have and move the **** on.

mayweather can beat this guy with ease anyway, so whats the goddamn excuse this time.
