Several months ago I came to the conclusion that this fight would never happen (I blame both fighters and both teams). Then I ******ly let my hopes get up these last few weeks. Why was I trying to kid myself? Their egos and money lust are too big for one fight. I'm not going to really believe in it until they step into the ring together.

how about those who watch Pac against DLH, Hatton and Cotto? are they either poor or misers as well?
When Mosley fought Margarito, tickets went for $25.That fight was a championship fight.Margarito is 'popular' but you see how the market values him. When Mosley fought Mayweather the tickets cost a lot more. The reason why there was a price hike is the Mayweather factor, people were expected to come and watch Mayweather otherwise that fight would have flopped.

Now with Pacquiao, check the fights he carried, like the Clottey fight or the Marquez fight that shows you how the market values those. As for DelaHoya,he couldnt charge the same he charged for the Mayweather fight because he was fighting a less marketable fighter. If anything,Pacquiao killed the DelaHoya brand, this again shows you pacquiao's worth. If you remember no one wanted to watch that fight.

To make this very easy, just calculate the average ticket prices for all of Pacquiao's fight whether against hatton or whoever then you will know how much Pacquiao was bringing to the table.Dont be fooled by people who shout at press conferences, press conferences are free. His so called fans watch fights in huge groups.have you realised how many Philipino households buy one ppv and they watch it in their neighbours. So you really want Floyd to pay for that.

52/48 Split in favor of Mayweather. As good and as well liked as Manny is, he simply does not bring in the as much revenue as Floyd Mayweather. 60/40 is to big of a split, but the fact that Mayweather sells more PPV'S than Manny, has to dealt with. Just make the damn fight people, and stop the public demands.

i think he lives on mars..actually most of americans hate pbf and root for pacman.pbf aint cheered as pacman is cheered worldwide.
We are not talking about cheering here,we are talking about people who pay to watch fights. If no money is involved then it's not a market. Also saying Mayweather is not popular ,that's a myth.Did you see how many mayweather fans came to watch him train in the UK?Even when mayweather had a Ricky hatton presss conference he had fans,I was there in London. On the other hand when Pacquiao came to the UK only Philipinos cheered him.

I'm not living on Mars, just face the facts,Mayweather's numbers prove it,be it at the gate or ppvs or video conferencing at his fights. How many fighters produce overflows at fight venues paying to watch in overflow rooms, how many fighters are watched in cinemas? If you still think a fighter who holds a record ppv is not popular than you are not worth talking to.

will just move on and make someone else the big names in the game.
