What made these fight so different especially the outcomes?
Occasionally the home town ref would separate the two and deliberately move the fight completely to the center of the rings, allowing Sturm to throw a couple of pretty combinations. But other than that Gevor applied basically the same inside fighting tactic and, although not incredibly effective like Ward, managed to land quite a lot of punches over the course of the fight.
Sturm however, escaped with a 115-113 (2x) and 117-111 decision. Ironically, Raul Caiz, the ref for the Ward/Green fight was one of the judges who scored the bout for Sturm.
