To be fair Jr never had an amateur career, so him getting 40 fights against weak competition is the best way to ween him into the pro's. That being said this is still a step up fight for him. Duddy is going to test his heart and resolve to see if he's got the goods in that department at least. Even training with Roach I heard hasn't been easy as he's been a diva his entire career, thus the bout with Duddy.
I hope he win though as its a big step in getting a match up with Cotto. Its a huge payday for both, it gives Cotto another fight with Stewart before facing Marg/Pac or another top 154 pounder (Angulo, Martinez.) It will also test Cotto's chin at 154 as Chavez might be a bum (I think he's just a B-level fighter) but the kid has some pop. Best reason for Cotto to take the fight though is that its still a very winnable fight, without a ton of risk.
