Ward will DESTROY Andre Dirrell

^^ All of this.Come on now. Of course any fighter can look good against AA for the first 7 or 8 rounds. AA walks in on fighters and lets them throw and doesn't punch. Dirrell was ready to go in the late rounds, and was on his way to getting KO'ed.
Andre Dirrell was the laughing stock of the 168 division, he has no balance, he has MAJOR defensive flaws like pulling back lazily with his hands down.
Dirrell won't win one round. Andre Ward will rule the 168 for the next few years. The only people I see him competitive with is Sergio Martinez and Danny Jacobs (if Jacobs steps up in competition). Other than that, everybody is getting spanked.
P.S. No Ceilings I hope your boy Paul Williams doesn't even THINK of moving up past 160. That fight wouldn't even be fair.Comment

If this line is anywhere close to even I'm throwing a lot of money down on Ward. He is what Dirrell aspires to become -- just a better version in every way with slightly less physical gifts. Ward is smart enough to play to his strengths, however, and Dirrell is going to be taken to school.Comment

Ward has the edge in (IMO): defense, balance, intelligence, versatility, workrate, composure
Dirrell: power, speed
If Ward gets outboxed for a while (doubtful, but possible) he'll just press the fight inside and Dirrell is not going to have an answer.Comment

Watch the fighters.
Is Dirrell as brave or as mentally -- even physically, for all his size at the weight -- as tough as Ward is? No.
Is he the assured ring-general that Ward is? No.
Is he as rounded/versatile and adaptable as Ward is? No.
Is he athletic? Yes. Is Ward also an excellent athlete? Yes. Is Dirrell's athleticism somewhat stiff and limited comparative to Ward's? Yes.
Is Dirrell a little quicker than Ward? Yes. Does Ward have better timing and control of range and have far better footwork? Yes. Is Ward's every foot movement made with a purpose and are his feet always set to take advantage? Yes.
Are some people so in love with Dirrell's handspeed and the fact he moves around the ring quickly that they've been blinded to the fact that he clumsily oversteps which stops him optimizing on the hand quickness and reflexes he's possessed of? Yes.
Is Dirrell awkward and clumsy comparative to Ward? Yes. Does Ward have more in his skillset and put it all together in a style far more befitting of the term 'slick'? Yes.
Can Ward, with his feints, jabs to the body and all-around superior boxing skills, exploit Dirrell's relative clumsiness and questionable balance? Yes.
Dirrell likes things his way. Ward isn't going to let him have it.
You'll see a boxing chess-match. Ward will play him at his own game to a degree, beat him on the outside and make him look surprisingly clumsy, out-time and outsmart him and mix it up if and when he can.
He's gonna outfox and outbox Dirrell.
I said it before - if Ward loses to this guy, it would be a disgrace. I'll lock out of this account and never come back in any status except reader, that's how confident I am Ward is going to school Dirrell.Comment

Not in some dramatic sense.
It'll be an outclassing in line with Bradley-Witter. It'll creep up and by the end it'll be apparent what just went down.
Dirrell has attributes and certain gifts that allow him to get by a lot of guys.
Against Ward, you'll see where he lacks in the finer points.Comment
