When Dirrell stopped running and started engaging Froch he was beating him and looked a step above Froch in doing so.
I think what we saw in Dirrell in that first fight was a tentativeness to engage a power puncher for fear of getting KO'd. After coming on strong late against Froch and schooling Arthur I believe a rematch with Froch would be a completely different result. After the Super Six I can see Dirrell wanting a rematch to clear his name.
I think the O.P is right, Dirrell and Ward are just a step ahead in terms of ability and they're not even prime. They are both young and they have no where near the experience of the other fighters in the tournament yet they are making a case for being the best fighters in the tournament.
I can't wait for Ward v Dirrell, it's exceeded the hype for Devon v Tim, for me. These young lions could go on to have 2 or 3 fights against each other in their careers.
As I said in another thread, I think Dirrell is the more naturally talented, but I think Ward is the more finished article and overall better boxer at this stage. Dirrell's a bit rough around the edges and makes quite a few mistakes, which can all be ironed out by the right manager and then I think he could be the best at this weight. Right now though, Ward seems more complete and I think I might give the edge to Ward in their fight.
Wtf did this little Cottosexual say? Anyone understood him? Go back to your little cave you **** head. You only pop up when Cotto is about to fight and stick around if he wins but when he loses you go on hiding mode like the little ***** that you are. Lol GTFOH.
