Is Haye ducking his mandatory Ruslan Chagaev too?

David Haye is not fighting again until November, probably against Audley Harrison, who turns 39 in October.

However, his mandatory is Ruslan Chagaev, who is seven years younger than Harrison (he'll turn 32 in October).

Chagaev is a former world titleholder, and has defeated some decent opponents. He's only been knocked down or stopped once as an amateur or as a pro, and that was by Wladimir Klitschko. His win over a somewhat younger version of Valuev was more convincing than Haye's.

By now, everyone except for Haye's gay and female admirers have acknowledged he's ducking the Klitschkos...

If he fears the Klitschkos, he should fight Ruslan in November not Audley. But it seems he's also avoiding a fight with his mandatory.

I'm not so sure. Chagaev has an iron chin, and is a very good counterpuncher with decent power in his left.

Well Ruiz was a mandatory so Haye has a voluntary defence now.

Jeez, 90% of boxers must be ducking their mandatory because they only fight them when they are forced to do so. Solis is Vitali's is Vitali ducking him?

Most def she is ducking. Diva Gaye will not fight anyone younger than 38 at HW. Look at her last 3 opponents. Chagaev is too much of a threat.

Don't forget, Chagaev had a gold medal, beat guys like Savon in the amateurs, and was undefeated when he fought Wlad. There is no shame in loosing to Wladimir. Chagaev is relatively young as well, especially for a HW.
Oh, he beat a younger Valuev who still had his knees much more convicingly than Gaye did. What did Gaye throw against Valubum? Like 5 punches a round? She was running the entire time as well.

Only the Brits will claim Gaye as a champion...everyone else knows that Wlad has the WBA belt.

Solis is NOT Vitali's mandatory, he has to first fight Austin or Valuev in a final eliminator.
