Ward wasn't clinching.
Ward was fighting on the inside against Allen Green.

Sure he clinched a lot.
But hes not a career clincher.
Hes not a bigger Ricky Hatton.
He game plans for each fight and executes.

Ward was fighting on the inside against Allen Green.
He was holding (immobilizing) Green's right arm by sticking his left under it, and then hitting with his right.
That's an illegal tactic, the ref should have stopped him from doing it.

Mayweather is a better inside fighter, when he does it which isn't often anymore he's very effective. Ward was smothering Green, but he was also smothering himself and not throwing from a good distance, otherwise i think he would have stopped him.
