  • Comments Thread For: Dimitrenko-Bakhtov Purse Bids: Titov Wins

It hardly gets any closer than this. At today’s purse bid for the European heavyweight championship between Alexander Dimitrenko and Denis Bakhtov in Rome, ARENA outbid Universum by only 200,- Euros. ARENA’s offer of 157,000.- Euro were slightly enough to make sure that Universum (156,800.- Euro) cannot stage the fight as planned on their last show with TV partner ZDF on July 31st. Russian promoter German Titov won the purse bid by offering 260,000.- Euros.

lulz Im still laughin on this shiet...

Karmazin's site won also the purse bid...but what happened...yeah as everybody should know on NSB he fought Sylvester in Germany... lmao

see Universum will pull all strings to get the fight made in Germany and also being televised on ZDF for their last fight before the contract Universum-ZDF is over.

sad but true ..no more boxing on ZDF.... RIP

This should be a very good heavyweight fight.

Bakhtov is only 5'11" but has a warriors' heart and will give the 6'7" Dimitrenko all he can handle.

          dimitrenko should beat him!
But if he gets careless then everything can happen! chambers dropped dimitrenko and the russian has a better punch then chambers!

yes bakhtov has a chance for a win.he reminds me of a younger monte Barrett.good skills, big heart,& will fight anyone much like a younger barrett but he also comes up short vs the upper echelon of heavyweights.dimitrenko is better than I use to give him credit for.I have almost all his fights but he's only had a couple good opponents.he has nice wins over Hoffman,rossy,krasniqi...chambers was a tough loss but he's a top 5-10 guy so it's more of a learning experience than a letdown.he should handle bakhtov fairly easily if he uses his size & keeps the shorter bakhtov on the end of his long jab.good fight & there is a small chance for an upset.sasha has been inactive so if bakhtov can jump on him early(chambers at 208 dropped him)& catch sasha...you never know...sasha could be just too big but bakhtov is a tough hombre & I look forward to this fight...I can even smell an upset here only because of sashas chin & inactivity level...I may bet on bakhtov.
