Comments Thread For: Andre Ward-Allan Green: The Post-Fight Report Card

By Cliff Rold - The Pride of the Bay Area, Oakland’s 2004 Olympic Gold medalist Andre Ward (22-0, 13 KO), was a prohibitive favorite to keep the WBA Super Middleweight belt going into his bout with Allan Green (29-2, 20 KO). The odds seemed too lopsided prior to the opening bell. [Click Here To Read More]

Now I understand why Green never amounted to anything. Green has no heart no fire no conviction no desire. Green is just a Shannon Briggs at 168. Green only has a big mouth that his fists cannot back up. Green didn't want to fight against Ward and looked as if he was just collecting a payday. Now I see the reason no one wanted him to fight for a title or manage Green to stardom there is nothing there no pizzazz no pop no style just a mouth that wispers in the ring. A pathetic kid who has maybe an occasional punch to worry about. All the hype what a joke a fighter like Pavlik or Martinez wipes the floor with this bum. Green is a disgrace to the sport. Maybe in 12 more years he gets another shot at a title. The words champion and Allen Green don't fit together. What a joke green turned out to be.

ward is the man to beat at 168 and super six

from the beginning i picked ward or abraham to win it all. i put it this way green did show up to fight but ward took the fight to him and took green's heart and fight with him. the last three rounds all green did was posture and to stayed on the defensive to finish the fight. i still think he will beat kessler when they fight. i picked green to win but i was wrong and green gave props to ward for his win. ward is a straight up beast!

        I am a little confused!

This article states that Green won't make any excuses for his pitiful performance. But I read yesterday he said he felt overtrained and dead tired and that is why he couldn't react the way he wanted to!

Personally, I will NEVER pay to see Green fight, like I will never pay to see Clottey fight again either. You mail in a performance after all that trash talking like Green, you pay the price, *****! The Ward vs. Green fight went like this:

These 3rd round fights coming up should be great since every single guy has something to fight for.

Even Andre Ward, who has already qualified for the next round, has his belt to defend if nothing else.
