    Boxing on T.V.

boxing needs to cut this hbo, showtime, and ppv **** out and get back on national television and give the fans what they want. It will make even more business sense for the future then just having two or three huge ppv events a year.

    The great equalizer= $$$$$$

More money is made from HBO, and Showtime then national TV

If that produced more money for the Promoters, im sure they would do it in a heartbeat but HBO and PPV puts up more money

Plus not all Boxing events are American so that wont really work

Boxing has been entrenched in HBO, Showtime, and PPV for 25 years. It's going to take a major shift somewhere to change it.

Well, F.O.B. knows where I stand on this. What I'm saying is that boxing may not have to do away with HBO's, and PPV's and all that; rather at least bring back regular fights like ESPN cards and Spanish network boxing back to regular tv. There must be some space somewhere dammit lmao at least on a Saturday! "S'all I'm sayin"

If they thought there was money in it they would try it. I remember Fox did a primetime Mike Tyson fight about 15 years ago. As a kid who never had cable until I was 13 this was huge for me. I do remember watching it though I can't remember who it was against. If it was financially viable I'm sure that they would do it.

Heck I'd love to see primetime Saturday night ESPN boxing (not ESPN2) with HBO Boxing After Dark quality fights.

Boxing needs more sponsors than that Hair Club for Men **** on ESPN.
