That's just the history of the sport. If more bigger names, start fighting in other nations then maybe you will see other fight capitals, the states is where the big money is right now and the real athletes go there to fight. Of course there are a few exceptions like when fighters fight infront of their home country but that is more of the exception than the rule.

As for having to fight American fighters the same rule applies. Boxing is still typically America vs the world because of the training, nutrition and other various things. Until a nation really can compete athlete for athlete the only way a foreigner can get props is if he beats a top America.

Ward is in his prime. Add to the Hopkins-esque style and you have a win over Calslappy.

Prime vs. Prime might be a different story but Calzaghe's best days are past him. Ward is too hungery to lose to a past prime fighter, period. The only people that have the best chance to beat him have to be at their physical and mental peak, like Dirrell.

Well he beat a top american called jeff lacy.

Unfortunately what the americans think of as top, calzaghe thinks of as bottom and rightly so

Plus hs stomped RJJ and hopkins. Don't say non prime because calzaghe came up from a KO very similar to non prime mosley vs floyd and he came back to win vs 2 american legends.

        Calzaghe > RJJ and hopkins
