How to judge a fighter's opposition...

What is the best way to judge the capability of an opponent or overall level of competition?

        Please vote, sir.

The question is obviously HOW to judge how good they were at that point.

          obviously the first option then
if you say "at that point," who they beat after doesn't figure in
can't beat a green guy then say it's a big win if he blows up years later
and it still isn't the be all end all

            pay per view numbers obviously

nah but seriously its a mixture of before and after IMO , for instance if someone beats a faded version of a great fighter should they get a lot of credit?
if someone beats an inexperienced fighter who then goes on to win titles later in their career, or if a fighter completely goes to **** after they're beaten should the fighter who beat them get a lot of credit?
I'd say its more of what they did before but consistency counts too

What they accomplished before and after. After, not so much but it's a plus.
