Ward could have beaten him, Froch on a bad night for James (which he had many of) could have beaten him.

Bute and possibly Dirrell could have outpointed James as well at 168, if Dave Tiberi and Drake Thadzi could get it done I can't see how they wouldn't have a shot.

Correct on both counts, Tiberi was robbed, I scored that myself for Dave, Thadzi/Toney I never saw but Thadzi was a journeyman/gatekeeper at 175.

James never belonged at those lower weights, and he never belonged at heavy. He was, is and always will be a natural cruiser.
