taylor would DESTROY green. green does not belong in this tournament - taylor did belong in there. i think taylor would have given ward a great fight, maybe even won it. he was whipping the **** out of froch until a depressing last round... he couldn't do much with abraham - but wasnt getting dominated by any means.

green is a complete joke. taylor would ko him mid rounds. i'd put alot of money on that fight.

It is sooooooooo strange to me that someone who was considered as elite as Taylor can outfight badass technicians (who can beat everyone) but always gets beaten to death by those with only one dimension... that dimension being punching power.

Very very odd in elite fighters to have their poison being a puncher. It's usual that the elite level can beat the punchers if no one else.
        I agree. Really fecking weird.

I boil it down to his amateur pedigree and his killer jab. He was experienced fighting all kinds of fighters before turning pro, and despite his nervous demeanor in the ring has pretty good reflexes and timing. Add in his piston like jab and he can hit you... he can HIT anyone... which is how he did so well against Hopkins and Wright. Those guys pride themselves on not getting hit, so it threw off their whole game. He may not understand using angles and the adopting the shell defense himself, but ironically his own offense was effective against those tactics. Also it helped that his conditioning was better at that time.

This is why I know for a fact he would've been more competitive against Ward than Green was.

Taylor may be done but Green never even got started.

When was the last time you saw Taylor get completely dominated, to the point of being shut out over 12 rounds? Never.

He would honestly be more competitive against anyone in the tournament than Green... Taylor fights... Green checks out.

It's too bad he didn't learn movement with his jab. He could have been great with that jab alone.
