He is. but even if he wins two more titles than MJ, MJ's legacy will always be rated higher. I do think that Kobe is more skilled than he was though.

he has better shot selection.

plus he's a better defender and has bigger hands which helps with his handles (kobe gets stripped a lot because he has smaller hands plus he doesn't get mj calls)

if he finishes with 8 it means he gave his team 2 more titles than what Jordan brought to his team

Exactly, MJ was far more the better efficient player. His FG%, defense, and the fact that he's 6-0 in championships series. Kobe will play more seasons due to his ability to relied on his skills more than his athleticism.
