I've sparred with guys that do exactly what Ward does. They come in on you and just lean all their body weight on your chest. Its ****ing ******ed because neither of us can really get any punches off since were spending all our energy just trying not to fall over. Its like a sumo wrestling match.

Its frustrating as hell at first, but over time I realized its best to pivot to the side or push off. Pushing off is more risky since the dirty bastard would punch me every time I tried it.

That's how Ward eats too, so I wouldn't push off. Honestly, Green didn't come to win and never made an attempt to win. Tarver was all over him, talking about Green's demeanor. Ward definitely got in Green's head. That also has alot to do with Ward's success, so it's important to bring that up. I do believe Green had more then what he displayed, but Ward took that out of him. He was fearful man.

At least this one has ****. So its a start.

I really do have a thing for Maria Ozawa and Reon Kadena. Unless I can get past them, you hardly might ever see any other chicks in my avatar/ sig

Kinda do have same style, kinda has a Floyd style also, its a great defense style. But difference is, ward brings way more excitment as he hits people in the face.

No way in hell will Ward ever be widely popular. He may be able to clean out a division, but he will never be a big attraction. He's not the next star in boxing.
I agree with this, some people predict that he will be the next superstar but I don't see that happening with his unpleasant style, don't get me wrong he's talented and everything but made up for ugly fights.

                  Boring as Borehard.

Dirrell takes Ward to the cleaners and makes him look like a fool.

Ward is NOTHING like Sugar Ray Leonard.

He's less exciting even than an old Hopkins, who threw some nice combinations against Pavlik.

I don't agree with this. I think Mayweather is light years more exciting than Ward.

I think Ward developed the habit of clinching more because in his early fights he was rocked some by journeymen so he doesn't want to take crazy chances as much against live punchers.

I would prefer he win more based on his speed rather than a punch than a maul tactics.
