The next week we get misquotes and 'no comments'. In fact, we've also gotten a few incidents where Team Mayweather denied even having contractual talks. But, I'm here to tell you that there are some signs pointing in one clear direction. The direction of Floyd Jr not taking this fight. Let's examine further:

Here are 5 signs that Floyd Mayweather Jr doesn't really want to fight Manny Pacquiao:

                  5) Purse Split
Some might say that these negotiations over purse splits are part of boxing matchmaking. That certainly is true to some degree, but when you add this to the other signs then it becomes another example of fear. Floyd's desire to have a larger purse split only complicates the negotiations and delays them further, which I think is his ultimate goal.

It was Manny Pacquiao who said that if Floyd Mayweather Jr made another excuse, after agreeing to a 14 day drug cut-off date, then it would be a clear sign of Floyd not wanting to fight him. Well, the money split is another excuse. And it's a clear sign that he doesn't want to fight Manny.

There were no problems during the initial round of negotiations in regards to a purse split. Like I discussed in my latest article 'Show me da Manny' says 'Show me da money' as he KO's Floyd Mayweather Jr's purse demands,Floyd Jr waited until his "mega fight" with Mosley, to make purse demands because he already lost the PPV battle to Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto. There was no doubt that the Mayweather-Mosley fight would sell more PPVs than Pacquiao vs. Clottey.

And we can't ignore the fact that Team Mayweather has rejected 3 proposals from Team Pacquiao which were counter offers to Floyd's 60/40 purse split.

                  4) Drug Testing
There were many critics who initially said that Floyd Mayweather Jr's drug testing demands were a clear sign of his fear for Manny Pacquiao. Before the Mayweathers came out and attacked Manny Pacquiao, there weren't been any public accusations or assumptions that Manny Pacquiao was taking Performance Enhancing Drugs.

Then, Mayweather Jr turned his entire drug testing demands into a "drug crusade". He even went as far as publicly declaring that his efforts to provide safety and equality in the sport of Boxing were on par with what Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X did with Civil Rights. In my recent article Floyd Mayweather Jr has disgraced Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X with his bogus 'drug crusade', I examine how this drug crusade was a disgrace to the efforts of these Civil Rights martyrs.

Mayweather's bogus "drug crusade" is also a sign that he is afraid of Manny Pacquiao. If Mayweather was truly concerned about Manny's "cleanness" then he would still be demanding random blood tests up until the day of the fight. In fact, Mayweather Jr would still be out campaigning for Boxing to be cleaned up.

Where's Mayweather and Golden Boy Promotions "drug crusade" now? I'll tell you where they are at, they are at the bank counting the millions of dollars they made off of the Shane Mosley fight and laughing at the fact the so many people actually bought their hype that Team Mayweather was going to clean up the sport.
What makes all of this even more absurd, is the fact that the Mayweathers accuse Manny of taking a drug that only exists in their imaginary world "A-side Meth".

                  3) Boxing Silence
There's really only been one public comment from Floyd Mayweather Jr, in regards to Boxing, since the first few days following his victory over Shane Mosley. We're talking over 6 weeks ago. That's a long time for a guy like Floyd Jr not to talk with the media. This guy loves the sound of his own voice.

Floyd's adviser Leonard Ellerbe went one step further and said that Floyd doesn't even want to discuss Boxing. How can a fighter in the midst of participating in one of the most influential fights in the last few decades, not want to talk about it?
Floyd's family haven't stopped talking about Manny Pacquiao or the fight. In fact, they continue to bash Manny, saying that he's on PEDs and he will get his a*s kicked by Floyd Jr. Could it be that Floyd Jr realizes that his perfect record is coming to an end?

                  2) Pursuing other Ventures
Instead of focusing on the potential "Fight of the Century", Floyd Jr is off partying, rapping, atending Basketball games and more. Floyd has spent more time talking about, and no doubt betting on, the NBA finals than anything else. Instead of focusing on his boxing skills, he's challenging others in Bowling.
Instead of collaborating with his team, he's collaborating with '50 Cent' on a rap album. None of this equates to a man who's serious about fighting his toughest fight ever. None of these actions resemble a man who wants to fight Manny Pacquiao.

                  1) Retirement
The biggest sign that Floyd Mayweather Jr is scared of Manny Pacquiao is the comments that he made about taking 1-2 years off. Are you kidding me? During the middle of the most intense negotiations in recent memory, and you are talking about retiring.

After all the bashing and criticizing that Mayweather did toward Manny Pacquiao and now he's talking about retiring. Unless he has life threatening injuries, the only logical conclusion here is that Floyd is scared to fight Manny. Floyd's retired before amidst challenges from big-time fighters like Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito. But neither of those guys are the caliber of Manny Pacquiao.

Spin it all you want, but Floyd Jr said during a video interview that he was going to take 1-2 years off and pursue other ventures. You can pass it off as a negotiations ploy, a joke, or a lie but it still all comes back to being a sign of fear. If Floyd was truly serious about fighting Manny then he wouldn't need to waste his time with ploys, lies, and jokes. He would be straight to the point and demanding the fight.

                  Conclusion
We might not have an official answer to whether or not this fight will happen, But we do have signs that point to Floyd Jr being scared to fight Manny Pacquiao. Individually, each sign could be debated. However, add them all up and there's only one conclusion and that's fear. Floyd's afraid of getting KO'd and/or suffering his first loss. Look no further than the 2nd round of the fight with Shane Mosley and you can see that Floyd Jr is not as unbeatable as he would like you to think. A younger and faster Pacquiao will be too much for Floyd Jr to handle. And he knows it.

Only people who don't fight come up with a book of hope to help themselves feel better about Pac's chances against Floyd. The Book of Pac does not exist...ask Eli. JMM gave us all the answers on how Pac would deal with Floyd. Floyd ko in 9.

These negotiations have *******s talking straight manure lol... The thing is any sane boxing fan knows that you really don't think Floyd doesn't want the fight...it's a pride thing. You know Pac doesn't deserve 50-50, and you know that your hero can't beat Floyd, but you have to keep on keeping on lol...

Your hero has been ko'd twice, and out boxed by Morales stealing the fotd award from writers who see boxing the way you Pactared do...as fans who think excitement is more important than greatness lol...

You Pac fans are what I call temps. You're temporary fans of the sport at the moment, and as soon as PAc retires, you won't be posting here anymore lol... Enjoy your final few months P-tards lol...
