I'm basing it off his style. That is what Toda. Ward will control the pace of the fight based on the fact that he can mix it up. Believe that they will both be on their best for each other and please believe I like BOTH of these guys. But, Ward is going to make Direll dig deep and if he gets on the inside, he will hurt Direlll. Also, Direll's footwork has been all over the place if you notice. He won't be able to do that against Ward, he will get popped.

I have a feeling that people are forgetting at just how GOOD Dirrell is. This will be Wards toughst and most grueling fight of his career. He will in there with a WORLD CLASS fighter.

I agree, he is good and I like him. I don't want anyone thinking that I don't. But, man, Ward is going to make a man out of him.

Dirrell will dance, and counter the **** out of Ward when he jumps in like that. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if Dirrell stops Ward.

ward is not easy to counter coming in (although i do think he is vulnerable to the southpaw uppercut becuz of how he finishes his lead right) because when he falls in he is in a good defensive position. what i give ward credit for is his awareness and knowledge of body positioning becuz he seems to never be in a vulnerable position, even after missing...especially to an orthodox fighter.

dirrell cannot spin out or keep distance the whole fight. ward is fleet of foot as well and i would take his ability to close distance and smother, combined with good defensive positioning over dirrell's ability to plant, counter and turn consistently.
dirrell is no green, but ward is no abraham. he has fast feet as well. it is easier to move forward than it is to move backwards or laterally.

ward WILL get inside and dirrell doesnt have the ability, nor the heart to keep ward at bay for the majority of the fight.

Its a top up Direll has a height, power, and slight speed advantage. Ward has better timing, defense, and infighting.

My man I answered you right in the beginning of the thread. He will eat straight punches when ward tries that smothering crap!!! Not to discredit Ward he fought hard tonight and I give him credit. But he knows he can't do that with Dirrell, he's too quick. Ward caught some punches with his face tonight by the "gun-shy" Green. Dirrell will throw punches and some of them will not be seen. Also from many different angles. I even think he can be stopped.

Dirrell has that ridiculous jab, which he can switch at any time. He has great movement. And also he is very athletic and as young as Ward or younger. Mark my words whenever Ward tries to bully or get inside he will be eating some very fast straight punches!!!!!!!!!

Ward's not comfortable outside and will try to move in like he did with Kessler.He will not do this against Dirrell whom I think is faster.
